Ensures that production assets are maintained for maximum efficiency and reliability. Provides quality solutions to production with urgency, professionalism, and innovation. Responsibilities KEY TASKS * Optimize equipment uptime by effectively managing the maintenance team. * Maintain all manufacturing equipment including but not limited to forging, CNC machining, robotics, broaching, grinding, heat treat, vibratory finish, electroplating, waste treatment, stamping, and assembly. * Coordinate facility and motor vehicle preventive maintenance and repairs with the appropriate contractor. * Maintain a documentation database for storage of operator manuals, drawings, and repair documentation. * Maintain a software database containing all machine system software and operating programs. * Maintain the CMMS to track work orders, spare parts, equipment cost, and labor reporting. * Coordinate an effective and on-going preventative maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment. * Develop maintenance personnel using various mentoring, training, and teaching practices. * Aquire quotes, submit purchase requests, and help manager the maintenance budget. * Recommend new technologies, equipment, and manufacturing solutions to management and engineering. * Communicate downtime, equipment repair status, and any personnel concerns to the appropriate departments. * Manage the quality of work performed by the maintenance department and contractors working with maintenance. * Comply with OSHA, NFPA 70E, EPA, NEC, DNR and other regulations. * Work with the RCI Manager to support lean development. * Provide support to the purchasing manager for all lease and service agreements. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS * 3-5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment. * 8-10 years experience in repair and maintenance of facility and production equipment. * Must be fluent with electrical troubleshooting including but not limited to PLC, CNC, PID, Motion Control, and Robotics. * Must be fluent in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and power distribution systems. * Ability to effectively choose and manage outside contractors to meet safety, cost, and completion deadlines. * Strong safety advocate. * Detail oriented. * Effective communicator both oral and written. * Must be organized, self-motivated, and a good communicator. * Proficient with spreadsheets, word-processing, and email software. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE * Forge, heat treat, vibratory finishing, electroplating, and data collection. * Waste water treatment, scrubbers, cooling towers, and HVAC equipment. * CMMS experience utilizing MP2. * Doosan, Mazak, Haas, Mori Seiki, Okuma, Siempelkamp, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Motoman, Fanuc, and DeviceNET. * Experience and participation in Lean manufacturing activities. * Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
