DISTRICT THREE GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE will be accepting resumes/applications for a Full-time Long Term Care Ombudsman. JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Community Services Division Director, the Ombudsman shall investigate complaints about care provided by long term care facilities and coordinate activities to promote wellness and prevent elder abuse. The starting pay for this position is $16.92-$18.31 per hour with a work week of 37.5 hours (Full-time with competitive benefits package). JOB QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree or nursing degree plus experience working with the elderly. Knowledge, skills, training and experience in issues relating to long term care settings, abuse, mediation, and investigation preferred. Must be able to focus on and deal with complex issues simultaneously. Substance abuse testing required and background check required.
